Conical Disc Washers (also called Belleville washers) are conically shaped spring washers that deliver compact, high-load spring action when compressed. Their conical geometry provides controlled axial deflection to maintain bolt preload, absorb shock, compensate for thermal expansion or settlement, and reduce loosening under vibration. They are available in multiple materials and thicknesses and can be stacked in series or parallel to tune deflection and load characteristics. Common applications include bolted joints, clamps, electrical connections, pumps, and machinery where reliable preload and vibration resistance are required.
